‘King’ Nagarjuna has been a notable personality for his experimental readiness, over years, in a formula-struck Tollywood. R.R. Venkat has become illustrious for the success of ‘BusinessMan’ with Mahesh Babu. V Srinivasa Reddy has already been recognized for his comic temper in his previous flicks. These three have come together to put an over-the-counter-stock film ‘Damarukam’ which is rearing to entice the audience tomorrow, the 23rd.

As everyone knew, the film has been made with a 40+ crore budget that sounded unpatronic for the stingy buyers based on the commercial practicality of Nagarjuna’s market stretch. A similar set of gestures were observed during the then over-the-market budgeted ‘Don’ of Nagarjuna. This has resulted in a serial of dramatic deferrals on the movie release date, pushing it from Pre-Dussera to Post-Diwali. The film assumes a cast of Nag and Anushka pairing up for the fourth time after Super, Don and Ragada, Devi Sri Prasad’s 50th musical and Sonu Sood, after all the villainous image he grabbed in Telugu after Arundhati, as another important role in the film.
DSP already bagged a couple of musical hits in the form of Gabbar Singh and Julayi this year before Damarukam. Nagarjuna also made his versatility speak by his roles in Rajanna and Shiridi Sai. Nevertheless, pushing aside the attenuated anticipation due to the delay in release and thereby embarrassment to Nag, let us wish Damarukam to fare well in this season.
